Intro to the Supervisor’s Role and Responsibilities

Course Description

This 90-minute, in-person class will provide your supervisors with a basic understanding of their legal role and compliance responsibilities, including the minimum standards of conduct required and expected of them. The class first addresses common supervisor misunderstandings, like the freedom to fire “at-will” employees and introductory period protections. Next, the class introduces supervisors to their role (and liability) as company agents and uses practice exercises to help attendees learn the eight core responsibilities of effective, compliant supervisors. The class closes by discussing the traits that transform a good supervisor into a great leader. The class is taught by a Vigilant Law Group employment attorney using PowerPoint and an interactive format.
