Podcast available on preventing heat illness

Vigilant’s safety team has released an 18-minute podcast on Heat-Related Illness/Heat Stress. This is the time of year when it can strike workers who are unprepared and don’t have adequate shade, water, rest time, and cooling stations to keep their body temperature within acceptable limits. It’s critical to establish a written heat illness prevention plan to protect your workers and establish a procedure for responding to emergencies. Our podcast focuses on requirements and best practices to prevent and address heat-related illnesses. Additional Vigilant safety podcasts are available on the topics of Returning to Work after COVID-19, Social Distancing in ManufacturingOSHA 300, and Best Practices for Safety Committees. Contact your Vigilant safety professional with any specific questions about safety compliance at your worksite.
