HHS launches HealthCare.gov

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently launched a new website, designed to connect consumers with new information and resources to enable them to access quality, affordable health care coverage.  The website features a central database of health coverage options, including information about public programs, from Medicare to the new Pre-Existing Conditions Insurance Plan, and information from more than 1,000 private insurance plans. The website will also feature information about the implementation of federal health care reform laws and other health care resources, including quality rankings for local health care providers and preventive services.

This website presents general information in nontechnical language. This information is not legal advice. Before applying this information to a specific management decision, consult legal counsel.
