EEO-1 Report portal to open in Fall 2023

On June 29, 2023, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced on the EEO-1 Report website that it is delaying until Fall 2023 the launch of the portal for covered employers to file their 2022 EEO-1 Reports. EEO-1 Reports are normally due on March 31 of the year following the snapshot date covered by the report, but the EEOC is behind schedule. We previously reported that the portal’s opening was delayed until mid-July 2023. Employers are generally required to file an annual EEO-1 Report if they have at least 100 employees or they have at least 50 employees and a federal contract or first-tier subcontract worth at least $50,000.

Tips: The EEO-1 Report is a one-day snapshot from a payroll period during the fourth quarter of a calendar year, showing the number of employees in 10 job categories, sorted by race/ethnicity and gender. Vigilant will keep members informed of any developments in the opening of the portal.
