Experience

Based in Olympia, Washington, Art Dalessandro is Vigilant’s Senior Director of Workers’ Compensation. He is tasked with growing the Vigilant Washington Retro Program, including maximizing member experience and retro refunds. Living and working in the State capital provides Art a strong relationship with the Department of Labor and Industries and easy access to his network of contacts. It’s an extensive network given Art’s more than 30 years of experience building and managing Washington State Retrospective Rating programs.

In addition to being a Retrospective Rating Program expert, Art is also a seasoned leader with extensive experience in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring claim, safety, and sales professionals. He is driven to provide high quality service and applies this drive to all of his interactions with members. Thanks to his time in the U.S. Army, Art can also claim getting paid for jumping out of airplanes on his resume.

Art was born in Brooklyn, NY, and then spent his early years in New Jersey before moving with his family to Southern California. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family and friends, fishing, and squeezing in some rounds on the golf links.
