Employment Law Case Study

The Situation

Headquartered in Japan with over 100 employees in the U.S, this large international manufacturer was scrambling to keep up as their Human Resources team was understaffed handling all stateside manners. Disconnected from corporate overseas and legal fees for outside counsel nearly totaling $60,000 per year, our member sought immediate aid and signed on for our flat-fee employment law advice.

Immediately after our member completed onboarding with us, an employee in the U.S filed a discrimination complaint. This manufacturer operated in a traded sector and the company was growing rapidly - with double-digit growth in their employment numbers year-over-year. HR could not resolve this discrimination complaint without counsel.

Vigilant - case study - employment law

The Solution

Our team at Vigilant recommended our flagship membership with a flat fee and unlimited employment law advice for the member. We personally conducted an HR risk and safety risk assessment at their distribution centers. We immediately responded to the internal complaint filed by the employee and began an internal investigation, run by our very Vigilant employment attorney.

After joining Vigilant, our member's outside legal fees went from nearly $60,000 per year to $13,100 — saving them over 80% on their annual legal fees! Following the investigation of the internal discrimination complaint, our team successfully mitigated the litigation risk. Ever since our member joined us, human resources issues have been addressed promptly, efficiently, and thoroughly. Attorney response time significantly improved, lowering the company's potential for risk and increasing internal support.

Diane is seen as an extension of our internal team. She responds as if she were working for us directly.

Creating bandwidth, trusted external partner, and availability of support.

Who has seen a positive outcome from membership on any level?
