Safety and Health

The Washington Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) has issued changes to three required posters:  workers’ compensation, job safety and health, and employee rights.

The Washington Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) has issued changes to three required posters:  workers’ compensation, job safety and health, and employee rights. Employers are required to post the posters in conspicuous locations where employees can read them and to remove the previous editions. Major changes include: Injured workers must now see a network provider for ongoing care; new ways to report an accident, including online and by phone; deadlines for filing claims; information on L&I’s new medical provider network; and assistance for victims of human trafficking. You can download the new posters for free from L&I, or through Vigilant’s member website. See our Legal Guide, “Mandatory Posters” (1528).
