Retiree reinsurance program now taking applications

The Department of Health and Human Services has officially begun accepting applications for the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program, created by this year’s federal health care reform legislation. Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and funding for the program is expected to run out within two years, so if you offer retiree coverage for individuals aged 55 or older, but not yet eligible for Medicare, you should apply now!
