NLRA rights poster now available

The National Labor Relations Board has released the new poster that most private employers will be required to display as of November 14, 2011. The poster explains the rights of most non-management employees under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) to band together on issues related to wages, hours and working conditions.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” /?>

If you have an intranet or internet site where you customarily post notices for employees about personnel rules or policies, then you must include this new poster, either as an exact copy, or as a link that says Employee Rights under the National Labor Relations Act. Fortunately, federal contractors who already are displaying the NLRA poster from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) can rely on the DOL poster. The poster is the result of a new regulation issued by the Board, which we explained in our September 1, 2011, newsletter (76 Fed Reg 54006, Aug 30, 2011).

Tips: For a complete list of required employment posters, see our Legal Guide, Mandatory Posters (1528). Members of Vigilant can download individual posters on our member website, or order laminated all-in-one posters at a special discounted rate.
