Jared’s role at Vigilant is helping our Washington Workers’ Comp Retro Group members prevent workplace injuries and assist with all their safety needs. When you’re a safety professional for Vigilant and your away-from-work passion is snowboarding, thinking about injury protection is a constant. Jared performs safety inspections, answers questions related to OSHA or L&I and much, much more.
Jared puts himself in member’s shoes when providing safety counsel, thanks to previous boots-on-the-ground roles at a steel manufacturer, sawmills and a ski resort, all jobs and industries where safety is paramount. He’s personal, approachable and enjoys helping other people.
In his free time, Jared enjoys a good cup of coffee, traveling and spending time with his wife and their three girls. He snowboards when he can, but with his schedule it will probably be awhile before he can even think about breaking his record of 136 days on the snow in a single year.
