Experience

Carl came to Vigilant with over 15 years’ experience handling injury and workers’ comp claims in the private and public sectors. Add to that eight years of running his own restaurant and you’ll understand that Carl has a full appreciation of the challenges facing our members in operating safe and successful businesses.

Carl knows all about the Washington State Industrial Insurance Laws from his time as a Washington Labor and Industries claims manager; he is noted for his excellent customer service and his ability to empathize with business owners; and he has the remarkable talent of dealing with all types of customers in a professional manner that really speaks to our members.

There is one thing Carl knows that he isn’t sharing: the super-secret recipe for his award-winning sweet potato pie. Away from the office, you may find Carl whipping up a pie or another of his specialties in the kitchen, spending time with his family, or perfecting his golf game.
